Delayed Labor
When it came time for me to give birth to my first child, my doctor told me that because I was already almost 40 weeks and had not dilated even 1cm, he wanted to induce labor. I had read some scary stories on the internet about Ptosin, so I decided to try something else. I went on the internet and found The Axelrad Clinic and Chris Axelrad. After reading that he specialized in women's issues and treating pregnant women, I scheduled a visit. Immediately I was put at ease because Chris was very confident that he could help me. He asked some important questions about the amniotic fluid and some other factors, and this really put me at ease also. My doctor agreed to give me one week to try acupuncture before we induced.I went for treatment two days in a row. Chris was even kind enough to schedule my third visit on a Saturday because he said it would not be effective if we did not do the treatments daily. I didn't even need that Saturday treatment because my water broke on Friday evening, and I went into labor. There were no complications with my labor, and it went very smoothly. "Towards the end of my 2nd trimester with my second child (a boy) I experienced dramatic changes in my health. I started having panic attacks, I would have trouble breathing, I developed blood pressure issues and a very serious case of insomnia. My chemicals had become completely unbalanced and I couldn’t function mentally or physically.
